Votes are sealed as they are cast

Every ballot is written to an append-only, hash-chained ledger the moment it is recorded. A vote is never overwritten: a change is a new entry naming the one it supersedes, so altering the history would break the chain visibly.

Internal use

Access is limited to authenticated members and staff of Board of Governors. Actions that change the record are attributed and written to the audit log.

Ms. Ashley F. Dominguez was appointed as a member of the Board in August of 2026. She is the Director of Federal Relations at UCLA, where she utilizes her extensive background in government and international affairs to manage the university's federal partnerships. A highly active campus and national leader, she serves on the UCLA Student Conduct and AANAPISI Committees and helps shape national higher education policy as the Immigration Task Force Co-Chair for both the APLU and AAU, earning her prestigious recognition such as the APLU's 2023 Emerging Leader Award. Prior to her role at UCLA, she built a strong foundation in public service by working in the district offices of prominent legislators, including Congressman Ted W. Lieu, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, and the late Senator Dianne Feinstein. Ms. Dominguez holds both a B.A. and an M.A. in International Relations from San Francisco State University, where her lifelong commitment to advocacy was initially solidified while volunteering for the 2010 Haiti earthquake relief efforts. She resides in Westwood with her husband and their two cats.
